    Design exhibition

An octopus is swimming on the wall while hundreds of marine organisms crawl on a flat, white board. It’s a sculpture installation inspired by the prolific career of Hong Kong designer Tommy Li. The exhibition comprehensively showcases and re-examines trademarks, brands, packages, posters, publications, advertisements and personal creations by Li in the hope of building a “visual dialogue” with the audience.

    Dates: Until Feb. 28

Venue: OCT Art & Design Gallery, Shennan Boulevard, Nanshan District (南山区深南大道华· 美术馆)

Metro: Luobao Line, OCT Station (华侨城站), Exit C

    Elegant paintings

Paintings created by artists from Nanjing in the mid-17th century are on display at the Shenzhen Museum. The paintings, mainly brushwork landscapes, flowers and birds, were created by artists of the Jinling style school. Jinling was a former name of Nanjing in East China’s Jiangsu Province.

    Dates: Until March 1

Venue: Shenzhen Museum, Block A, Civic Center, Futian District(福田区市民中心A区深圳博物馆新馆)

Metro: Shekou or Longhua Line, Civic Center Station (市民中心站), Exit B
