    Sea World Light Festival

    Artistic light installations are lighting up around Minghua ship. The Third Sea World International Light Festival is divided into two areas, with the outdoor area exhibiting works by domestic artists and the indoor area works by foreign artists. The international artists are James Turrell, Tracey Emin, Guido van der Werve, Keith Sonnier and Robert Irwin.

    Dates: Until Feb. 24

    UABB

    The Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture (UABB) features hundreds of exhibitors from around the world as they explore topics of city development and life. Held in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, the UABB is Asia’s most prestigious architecture, design and urban planning event.

    Dates: Until Feb. 28

    David Bowie

    Spend an evening remembering David Bowie. Listen to his music, connect with fellow Bowie fans and end the evening by watching “Labyrinth.” The event is organized by expat filmmaker Nausheen Ishtiaq-Chen.

    ‘Cross Line’

    Eight artworks designed by eight domestic contemporary artists and handmade by seven traditional handicraft people are on display at the “Cross Line” exhibition. Separated by huge bamboo curtains, the eight artworks feature metal wire crocheting, cotton thread weaving, rattan weaving, bamboo weaving and silk embroidery.

    Dates: Until March 6

    Japanese movie “Hana-bi,” released in the United States as “Fireworks,” will be shown.

    ‘Adrift’

    Works by emerging young Chinese and Estonian artists are on display in the “Adrift” exhibition. It features eight videos, installations, sound art and photography, tackling the sociological issues of human mobility and migration.

    PJ Bruyniks

    Dutch artist PJ Bruyniks is exhibiting his four large sculpture installations created during the past three months at Da Wang Culture Highland. His installations incorporate bamboo, ceramics, paper, silk and wood.
