Huge online followers for unborn quintuplets
     2016-January-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AN Australian MOTHER expecting quintuplets has gained almost 150,000 followers on the social network documenting what it’s like to be expecting five babies in her “Surprised by Five” blog.

Perth mother Kim Tucci, 26, keeps her Facebook fans regularly updated about the highs and lows of her pregnancy. She is currently about 29 weeks pregnant and is expecting one boy and five girls.

She has discussed her daily struggles, from consuming the recommended 6,000 calories a day to feed her unborn quintuplets to going to the bathroom “12 times a night” on the blog.

“It’s getting harder as each day passes to push through the pain. Every part of my body aches and sleeping is becoming very painful,” she explained in one post.

“No amount of pillows are helping support my back and belly. Sometimes I get so upset that I just want to throw my hands up and give in.”

In another she thanked her husband for the support he has given her: “My husband always reminds I should wear my stripes [stretch marks] with pride and that I should be proud of them and what my body has achieved,” Tucci said.

“Without him I would have broken down a long time ago.

“People always ask ‘how am I so calm about everything.’ He is my reason.

“Is it all worth it? Yes! I will keep pushing through.”

One commenter wrote: “You are doing a wonderful job with your 5 beautiful babies. Wishing you all the very best.”

The odds of conceiving quintuplets naturally are about 60 million to one.
