ATLANTIS Resorts is reportedly nearing a deal to construct a US$2 billion luxury retreat in Hawaii that will be the most expensive resort ever built.

    While details are still being finalized, the high-end sanctuary will be located on 15 acres (6 hectares) of land at Ko Olina on the island of Oahu.

    According to Hawaii News Now, Atlantis Resorts’ ocean-themed retreat in Hawaii will have amenities that are similar to those at Atlantis, The Palm.

    That includes rooms that look into a giant aquarium filled with marine life, a shark habitat and a spot where guests can swim with dolphins.

    In addition to hotel rooms, the property will feature condominiums and timeshare units, Hawaii News Now reported.

    The resort will be located next to Disney’s Aulani Resort.
