SHENZHEN
Watch the Super Bowl
Super Bowl 50, the U.S. football game that will determine the champion of the National Football League for the 2015 season, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 7 (Pacific Time) between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos. The halftime show will be headlined by Coldplay and Beyoncé. In Shenzhen, you can watch the game at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 8 (Beijing Time) at several bars, including McCawley’s, The Tavern, Xpats, Frankie’s, HH-Gourmet, George & Dragon, Pancho’s, Xpats, X-Ta-Sea, Brew Magic Pub, Snake Pit and Señor Frog’s.
Shadow plays
Shenzhen Museum is hosting shadow plays. The free tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis on the day of the event.

Maruko Dreaming Expo
An exhibition featuring Maruko, the adorable character from popular Japanese anime TV series “Chibi Maruko-chan,” is being held at Coastal City free of charge.

Sea World Light Festival
The Third Sea World International Light Festival is divided into two areas, with the outdoor area exhibiting works by domestic artists and the indoor area works by foreign artists.

‘Adrift’
Installations and sound art by emerging young Chinese and Estonian artists are on display in the “Adrift” exhibition. It tackles the sociological issues of human mobility and migration.

UABB

HONG KONG
Rugby Cup
French Top-14 league contenders Racing 92 will return to Hong Kong for the third time in three seasons to play against defending Super Rugby Champions Highlanders in Lunar New Year Rugby Cup. It will be the first match to feature a Super Rugby club in Asia.

Night Parade
The Chinese New Year Night Parade is one of Hong Kong’s most anticipated annual events. Fantastic floats and spectacular performances by local and international groups will be welcoming the New Year with a grandeur unique to Hong Kong.

Route: Parade starts with an opening ceremony at the Hong Kong Cultural Center Piazza in Tsim Sha Tsui and proceeds along Canton Road, Haiphong Road, Nathan Road and Salisbury Road.
Chinese New Year Race Day
Kick off the Year of the Monkey by visiting the Chinese New Year Race Day in Hong Kong. Thrilling lion dances, good luck greetings from the territory’s favorite jockeys, variety shows and tips from a feng shui master are some of the many New Year attractions to enjoy.

Fireworks display
Thousands will line both sides of iconic Victoria Harbor on the second day of the Chinese New Year to witness Hong Kong ushering in the Year of the Monkey with an astounding fireworks display.

Birthday of Che Kung
Che Kung’s birthday falls on the second day of the first lunar month. He was famed for being able to suppress uprisings and plagues during the Song Dynasty and later became revered as a god. On his birthday, Che Kung temples are crowded with devotees hoping to catch him in a good mood.

Udderbelly Festival
The festival makes its Asian debut in Hong Kong with a bellyful of exciting, eclectic and affordable entertainment! Just like on London’s Southbank and in Edinburgh, you can come and enjoy circus, dance, music, beat-boxing and family shows.

Charity Carnival
