Joyful Lantern Festival

    Shenzhen Museum will hold the annual Joyful Lantern Festival on Monday afternoon. Locals can enjoy traditional folk demonstrations, such as lion dances, qilin dances, acrobatics, handicrafts and riddle-solving. Glutinous rice balls and Hakka snacks will be offered at the event. People who guess the right answers of the lantern riddles can claim handicraft gifts or snacks from the organizers.

    Light show

    The light show at OCT Bay has seven theme zones, including Jurassic Park, Winter Wonderland and a snack area.

    Lantern shows

    Lights in the shapes of flowers and animals will float on a river inside the Splendid China-China Folk Culture Villages. Singles are welcome to make a wish under the big “wishing tree” decorated with lanterns in the hope of finding true love. The tree is symbolic of good luck and hope.
