    Hong Kong pop singer and actress Sammi Cheng will give a concert April 30 at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center.

    Cheng is known as one of the most prominent female singers in Hong Kong, with album sales of over 30 million copies throughout Asia. Most notably in the 1990s, she was dubbed by the media as the “Cantopop Queen” and diva.

    From 1993 to 2010, Cheng won 12 Top Female Vocalist Awards, 14 Best Sales Local Female Vocalist Awards and has seven albums that won Best-Selling Cantonese Release of the Year Awards in Hong Kong. She also won the Most Popular Hong Kong Female Artist Award from the Top 10 Jade Solid Gold Awards three times and the Gold Song Award, the highest-ranked award in Hong Kong. She also received the Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award for a Female Singer in 2011 from the Metro Radio Hits Awards. She also won many top honors from various Chinese music awards held in Asia.

    She produced over 80 studio albums, 10 live concert albums, over 130 singles with over 30 cover songs, performed in over 25 films, many of which were box office hits, starred in seven TV dramas and had held over 140 concerts as part of 12 concert tours.
