9 percent jump in disposable income
     2016-February-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE per capita disposable income of Shenzhen residents in 2015 reached 44,633 yuan (US$6,833), an increase of 9 percent over the previous year.

If price increases are factored in, the actual income increased by 6.7 percent, equivalent to the increase in 2014, according to a recent survey. It is 0.1 and 0.5 percentage points higher than the nation’s and Guangdong’s average increases, respectively.

The per capita salary income in 2015 was 37,670.4 yuan, an increase of 8.9 per cent, accounting for 84.4 percent of total income.

The average salary increase was mainly caused by increases in the minimum wage, which rose to 2,030 yuan each month starting in March, 222 yuan more than the in 2014.

Larger salaries at government and public institutions also helped increase the average income.

The per capita business income of Shenzhen residents reached 5,213.92 yuan, an increase of 2.7 percent over the previous year. The per capita net income in property leasing, such as for residential houses and factory houses, in 2015 reached 4,163.95 yuan, an increase of 13.5 percent over the previous year, accounting for 9.3 percent of the total disposable income.
