    Meaning:

Literally meaning “a place of quality,” this term refers to some restaurants, bars or KTVs where sexy women lure men into unreasonably expensive services, such as a small glass of ordinary wine for a hefty price. These women do not go to bed with men, and perhaps that is why the venues are defined as “quality” places (not providing prostitutes). Cheated men often do not complain, as they are lured by sex deals in the first place. Reports said such venues have existed for some 20 years in some Chinese cities despite police crackdowns from time to time. Taxi drivers are also hired by the venues to pick up possible victims at bus and railway stations.

    Example:

    A: 小李好像心情不好?

    Xiǎolǐ hǎoxiàng xīnqíng bùhǎo?

It looks like Xiaoli is unhappy. Why?

    B: 他上周去南京出差,被出租司机带到一个素质场,被宰了两千块。

Tā shàngzhōu qù nánjīng chūchāi, bèi chūzū sījī dài dào yīgè sùzhìchǎng, bèi zǎi le liǎngqiān kuài。

He went on a business trip to Nanjing last week. He was taken by a taxi driver to a bar running shady business and was cheated out of 2,000 yuan.
