WILL SMITH and Joel Edgerton are attached to star in the hot package that is making the rounds titled “Bright,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

    David Ayer will direct the cop thriller from a script written by Max Landis (“Chronicle”). Smith and Ayer recently teamed on Warner Bros. “Suicide Squad” and “Bright” will have to wait until shooting wraps on David Frankel’s “Collateral Beauty,” which Smith toplines. Edgerton is familiar with cop narratives, having recently co-starred as a corrupt FBI agent in “Black Mass.” He will next be seen in the interracial couple drama “Loving.”(SD-Agencies)
