Four shows at B10 Live this week
     2016-March-7  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    SIMPIG

Based in Biel, the birthplace of hip-hop in Switzerland, the duo of DJ/producers, Shake It Maschine and Mr. Pigman, have been playing their own mixture of bass music ranging from dubstep to trap, U.K. funky to house. They finalized their first album “Strangers” in 2015 under the moniker SIMPIG, which celebrates the duo’s strong musical bond. The nine tracks of the LP work as an initiatory journey, taking the listener through different sonic territories drawing soaring melodies on top of intricate rhythm patterns.

    Time: 8:30 p.m., March 9

    Tickets: 60-80 yuan

    Fox Capture Plan

Fox capture plan is a jazz/post-rock trio formed in 2011 in Tokyo, Japan. Members are Ryo Kishimoto (piano), Hidehiro Kawai (double bass) and Tsukasa Inoue (drums).

    Time: 8:30 p.m., March 10

    Tickets: 60-80 yuan

    The Fuzz

Based in the historic Chinese city Xi’an, The Fuzz satisfies audience members with its strong and fierce post-punk style. Their current tour will take them to over 40 cities, including Hong Kong and cities in Taiwan. During the tour, the band will launch a “record on the tour” project — searching for a proper studio and/or venue to do their next album. This planned album would be a perfect epitome for a free band like The Fuzz.

    Time: 8:30 p.m., March 11

    Tickets: 60-80 yuan

    Mary See the Future

Mary See the Future was formed in 2007 and the band said their influences were 90s grunge, 90s Brit-pop and a lot of Chinese pop music. Their music combines the energy of British rock with the complex sound structures of classical music, aimed at pushing the Mandarin pop rock scene to another level.

    Time: 8:30 p.m., March 11

    Tickets: 80-100 yuan

Venue: B10 Live, North Area, OCT-LOFT, Nanshan District (南山区华侨城创意文化园北区B10现场)
