S.H.E member Selina Jen announced her divorce from lawyer Richard Chang on Friday night.

    The 34-year-old singer wrote a long post on Facebook, saying a marriage requires the efforts of two persons, and in her case the two “have not done enough.”

    Selina admitted she failed to fulfill the role of a good wife, as she continued to focus on her career even after marriage.

    She also explained there has been “a big change” in her life perspective before and after marriage, and the love between Chang and her “started to fade.”

    In response, her husband wrote on his Facebook, “in this broken marriage, I lost a wife but gained a sister who is closer to me than my own.”

    The news surprised fans, as Chang has been regarded as Selina’s pillar of support during her toughest times in life.

    Selina suffered third-degree burns on over 54 percent of her body while filming a TV drama in 2010 and Chang accompanied her throughout the recovery journey. The couple tied the knot in 2011.

    Selina gained fame as a member of top Taiwan girl group S.H.E, releasing 12 albums with sales totaling well over 15 million records.(SD-Agencies)
