HOV lanes
     2016-March-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Shenzhen police are considering high-occupancy-vehicle (HOV) lanes on major roads, including Caitian Road, Fulong Road and Binhe Boulevard this year. The lanes are also known as carpool lanes.

Vehicles carrying at least two people are given priority to use the reserved lane during peak hours, police said.

Carpool lanes could reduce traffic and pollution, Zhang Jiexin, an officer with the road administration section of the Shenzhen traffic police bureau, said Monday.
