     2016-March-11  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

METRO Line 11 is now under going signal system tests and the line is expected to start service in June, the Daily Sunshine reported.

The 51.94-km line runs through Futian, Nanshan and Bao’an districts. It starts from Futian Station and ends at Bitou Station in Bao’an. The line is also called the Airport Express because it will have a stop at Shenzhen International Airport.

The trip from Futian Station in Futian CBD to the airport will be reduced to 29 minutes.

It will be the first Metro line in the city to run at the maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour.

Zhao Penglin, head of the city’s rail construction headquarters, said in earlier reports that two of the eight compartments on each Line 11 train will be for passengers with luggage. The line includes 38.3 kilometers of rail built on elevated bridges and 14 underground stations.
