French jazz singer Anna Farrow will sing at B10 Live on Thursday.

    Farrow pursues the singer-songwriter tradition in a specific musical world, accompanied by Ben Rando (piano), Cedrick Bec (drum), Sam Favreau (double bass) and Florent Brique (trumpet), leading musicians on the jazz scene.

    “I had nothing special in mind whilst writing these songs, no wish to sing about love or any other subject. My desire has been to allow the vibrant flow of life and music paint the colors of my days and moods. So the songs are about love, gladness, people, despair. It’s my wink to the creator of all things and an open diary,” said Farrow.

    With this first album of compositions co-written with Rando, “Days & Moods,” Farrow reveals her voice in moving melodies, voluptuous grooves and direct and nurtured lyrics. With real sensitivity, the throbbing pulse of jazz and blues blend with accents of soul and folk music, born along by the harmony custom-made for her voice. Listeners thus find themselves immersed in a graceful rumba), real groove, swaying jazz and soaring blues.
