THE 28-year-old singer, who has just kicked off her “ANTI” world tour, will receive the Rock Star Award at the ceremony on April 1.

A post on the Black Girls Rock official website about Rihanna states that “Rihanna is a trendsetter, without a doubt! She is at the forefront of the fashion scene and at the top of the music charts. There’s nothing that can stop her!”

The eight-time Grammy Award winner’s fellow 2016 honorees include producer and writer Shonda Rhimes for the Shot Caller Award, R&B icon Gladys Knight for the Living Legend Award, as well as “The Walking Dead” actress Danai Gurira for the Star Power Award.

Actress Tracee Ellis Ross will host the event, and the ceremony will premiere 8 p.m. April 5 on BET.
