     2016-March-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The annual “100-Kilometer Walk” organized by doyouhike.net is scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday.

As one of the city’s most grand and popular outdoor activities, this year’s walking route starts at Shenzhen Bay Sports Park at 5 p.m. Saturday and goes eastward, finishing at Dapeng at 5 p.m. Sunday.

The journey is 101.5 km and will pass by Binhai Boulevard, Yitian Road, Shenzhen Central Park, Bijia Mountain, Aiguo Road, Donghu Park, Wutong Mountain, Yantian Checkpoint, Dameisha and Xichong Village. It would normally take an experienced participant 16 to 24 hours to finish.

Walkers and runners who don’t register for the event can also join in the walk anytime from any location. Volunteers and police officers will be along the routes to provide directions, free energy drinks, security and first aid services.(SD News)
