Teacher becomes new face of Armani
     2016-March-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AN Italian maths teacher who reached global fame after his adoring students shared his pictures online is now a model for Armani.

Pietro Boselli, 27, caused a flurry of excitement among students when he started teaching maths at University College London.

The teacher, from the city of Negrar, in the northeast Italian province of Verona, was so popular his students started uploading photos of him on social media.

He was then entered into the sexiest teacher in the world competition, which he won.

Boselli, who has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University College London, says he always dreamed of modeling, but chose to follow an academic path instead.

He said, “In a way I was ashamed, I thought that the people from the academic world would look down on me.”

Showing that somebody can be blessed with both brains and looks, he assures his secret for staying in shape and having a beautiful body is training and a “strict diet.”

Now the mathematician, who first modeled for Armani at the age of 7, has put down his board pen to sign for the designer label once more.

He already has almost 900,000 followers on Instagram and his good looks have been widely compared to that of David Beckham.

Pietro found fame when his students entered him into an international sexiest teacher competition without him knowing.

However, the teacher-come-model says he tries not to let the attention go to his head saying that people “think he is too beautiful to ever take it seriously.”

Pietro says he knew his students had learned when they started to take “sneaky” images of him while he was at the front of the lecture hall.

The model, who signed with top agency Models 1, says he’s not worried about students seeing him posing topless.

“People ask me ‘why are you topless in pictures? Why don’t you have any clothes on?’ But training is a big part of my life.

“I started going to the gym when I moved to London and, like everything I do, I’m very focused. I train once or twice a day and I’m happy to get recognition for having a good physique.”(SD-Agencies)
