Cranston, Hart to star in remake of ‘The Intouchables’
     2016-April-1  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

BRYAN CRANSTON and Kevin Hart are in negotiations to star in The Weinstein Company’s remake of the international French-language hit, “The Intouchables,” The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The original movie starred Francois Cluzet and Omar Sy and told of the unlikely friendship that develops between a white quadriplegic millionaire and his black caregiver. The 2011 pic was made for about US$12 million and grossed close to US$430 million worldwide. TWC soon after picked up remake rights.

Simon Curtis (“My Week With Marilyn”) is attached to direct the remake, which has a script by Paul Feig. Cranston is coming off an Oscar nomination for his work in “Trumbo” and is shooting the Fox comedy “Why Him?” with James Franco.

Hart recently starred in “Ride Along 2” and will be seen opposite Dwayne Johnson in this summer’s New Line comedy “Central Intelligence.”(SD-Agencies)
