UK’s haunted house opens its doors for one night only
     2016-April-7  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

IT has been dubbed Britain’s most-haunted house, and if you are brave enough, you can spend the night there.

Nicknamed “The Hostel,” by ghost hunters, the seven-bed property in Hull, East Yorkshire, is opening its scary doors to the public.

Thrill-seekers have been given the chance to stay there overnight Friday on May 13.

There have been a number of reports of hauntings at the house at 39 De Grey Street, and there has even been a police search of the property following reports by mediums of an “evil” force.

Unknown faces have been spotted in windows of the East Yorkshire house, as well as sightings of a woman pulled by her legs across a room and a man being held against a wall.

Becci Cook, 26, one of the people brave enough to step inside, said spooky forces began to take hold as soon as the group passed through the front door.

“The activity started the moment we got inside,” She said.

“Things moved and three people even vomited. There was this amazing feeling of sickness that came over us.

“Doors opened on their own and one man even had a ball thrown at him when he said he could live here.”

Sue Thompson, 60, another ghost-hunter brave enough to step over the threshold of 39 De Gray Street, said, “It was a very exciting night ... You always got the sense something was standing behind you and the experiments we carried out proved to me something was there.”

The home’s owner, Andy Yates, is giving brave souls the chance to see for themselves by opening his unoccupied property up to the public May 13 for £65 (US$92) a head.

He said, “I lived in the house by myself, and I came downstairs to find steak knives balanced on the plates in the drying rack.

“I’ve tried to rent the house out a couple of times, but the longest anyone has lasted is four days. Some people couldn’t return after measuring the house up for furniture.

“I once saw a child’s shadow come out of the fireplace and hover for about 15 minutes. When I eventually plucked up the courage to move, it disappeared back into the wall.”(SD-Agencies)
