Unlock your perfect weekend at Mission Hills Centreville. A paper art exhibition featuring origami, 3-D paper silhouettes, quilling and collages will be held Friday afternoon. The entry is free.

    At the exhibition, visitors can enjoy a fascinating scene when standing under the exhibit “Shadow of Eiffel Towers,” a set of paper towers with lighting and shadow effect.

    Artist Chen Fenwan will present a series of body or body part-shaped paper works. She said, “The human body contains all the regular patterns of a macro world. The body is always the most sensitive sign and it cannot be digitalized. From head to toe, the body is a 360-degree sensitive, living thing. We spend most of our time in life communicating with people. Some go up and some go down, up and down. Our body and soul also need to communicate with ourselves. I try to present this complicated psychological status with all these thin human-shaped papers, layers by layers.”

    On Friday night, groove to the beat of international bands, including The Sleep Walkers, American indie rock band Colin Phils, local band Dirty Curtyy and award-winning B-Boxers and rappers. Enjoy tasty food, drinks and beer.

    RMB is a cover band hailing from America. They play the most soulful, funky, rock’n’roll music in the deep ditch. This is a band you don’t want to miss if you love funk, soul, jam rock, reggae and hip-hop. Colin Phils is a four-piece American indie rock band formed in South Korea. The band self-released their first album, titled “Right at Home,” in June 2014, and a single “Best Foot Forward” in December 2014. Their sound has been described as part math-rock, part indie-rock, with catchy hooks and harmonies throughout.

    The music that Dirty Curtyy tries to create reaches out across genres to try and find the answer to that question. They try to take all the aspects of music and combine them into one project that’s determined to create the euphoria and joy that music brings to all.
