BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH, Helen Mirren and Gregory Porter are among the stars confirmed for Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary show in Britain on April 23.
Hosted by David Tennant in Shakespeare’s hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon, the show’s audience will include the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall from the British royal family.
The extravaganza “Shakespeare Live!” will present works inspired by the playwright with genres ranging from hip-hop to opera.
Porter’s filmed performance “When That I Was a Little Tiny Boy” based on “Twelfth Night” will join musical offerings by Rufus Wainwright and tenor Ian Bostridge.
Dancers from the Royal Ballet are going to perform “Romeo and Juliet.”
