DRIVERLESS CARS BEGIN LONG-DISTANCE ROAD TEST
     2016-April-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Driverless cars produced by Chang’an Automobile, based in Chongqing, start a 2,000-km test journey to Beijing at a launch ceremony in Chongqing yesterday. The vehicles have performed well on highways, but they still need the help of a driver to navigate them in gas stations and toll booths, according to the manufacturer. Chang’an is aiming to put driverless cars into commercial use in 2018. Worldwide, at least 18 companies are developing autonomous cars.Xinhua
