‘Digging a Hole in China’
“Digging a Hole in China” exhibition features a range of works produced in contemporary China that connect to the land. The exhibition attempts to expose and analyze the discrepancies between this genre of work and “conventional” land art as understood in the Western art historical context, thereby probing the potential of “land” as a cultural concept in artistic practice.

Two exhibitions
Glass pieces on loan from the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague and cultural relics on loan from six museums in Sichuan Province are on display at the Shenzhen Museum. The glass show offers a thoughtful, expressive, and utterly breathtaking exploration of glassmaking in Europe from the 4th century B.C. to the present day. The Han Dynasty relics feature a spectacular selection of tomb tiles, bronzeware and pottery figurines. The 168 exhibits showcase the fascinating culture of China during the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-A.D. 220).
