THE 2016 Beijing International Film Festival wrapped up Saturday. Argentinian film “La Patota” was the biggest winner at the festival, taking three trophies including best feature film, best screenplay and best actress.
The film features the unfair treatment of women in Buenos Aires, by telling the story of rape survivor Paulina as she tries to put her life back together.
Christina Rosendahl was crowned best director with her film “An Idealist.” It centers on a journalist involved in a nuclear accident that influenced the lives of thousands in Denmark.
Louis Hofmann took home the best actor award for his performance in “Under Sandet.”
Chinese film “Go Away Mr. Tumor” grabbed the best visual effects award.(SD-Agencies)
