A Shenzhen charity group, A Heart for China, which has over 1,100 members and was founded last year, will celebrate its first anniversary May 5.

    The gathering will bring together members of the group who organize visits with and entertainment for disabled children, orphans, the poor and elderly. The evening programs include a buffet, drinks, wine, a lucky draw, an award ceremony and magicians.

    The group was founded by a Belgian who said charity doesn’t need to involve big donations.

    A simple gesture of love and care is important for everyone who gives and receives it.
