撩妹
liáomèi
Meaning: Originating from Hakka dialect, this term means to "flirt with girls" or "court the fair sex." Now a popular term used by Chinese netizens, it is similar to "泡妞" (pick up hot chicks), another phrase long in existence. While in North China people call a girl "妞," in South China they often call a girl "妹."
Example:
A: 你觉得小林怎么样?
Nǐ juéde xiǎolín zěnmeyàng?
How do you like Xiaolin?
B: 各方面都很优秀。不过他是个撩妹达人,很多女生对他有意思,他也对很多女生献殷勤。

He is great in many ways. But he is a master seducer. Many girls have a thing for him, and he is gallant toward girls.
A: 好吧,我还以为他喜欢我呢。
Hǎoba, wǒ hái yǐwéi tā xǐhuan wǒ ne。
Well, I took it for granted that he liked me.
