    Chinese Horn Ensemble

    Han Xiaoming, a French horn master, will perform at the Mission Hills Mall in Longhua New Area on Monday, with the Chinese Horn Ensemble. The program will include “Besame Mucho,” “Libertango” and “Hakuna Matata.” Entry is free.

    Team Ghost

    French electronic music group Team Ghost will perform Friday at B10 Live. Team Ghost was founded in 2007 in Paris by Jean-Philippe Talaga and bandmate Christophe Guerin and Nicolas Fromageau.

    ‘Digging a Hole in China’

    “Digging a Hole in China” exhibition features a range of works produced in contemporary China that connect to the land. The exhibition attempts to expose and analyze the discrepancies between this genre of work and “conventional” land art as understood in the Western art historical context, thereby probing the potential of “land” as a cultural concept in artistic practice.

    European glass pieces

    Glass pieces on loan from the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague are on display, offering a thoughtful, expressive, and utterly breathtaking exploration of glassmaking in Europe from the 4th century B.C. to the present day. There is a large collection of Bohemian glass with enamel paintings and extravagantly cut glass bowls, plates, vases, goblets and bottles.

    Sammi Cheng

    Hong Kong pop singer and actress Sammi Cheng will have a concert Saturday at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center. Cheng is known as one of the most prominent female singers in Hong Kong, with album sales of over 30 million copies throughout Asia. In the 1990s she was dubbed by the media as the “Cantopop Queen” and diva.

    Electronic night of Nordic

    Swedish indie pop band Death Team will collaborate with Danish synth-pop duo First Hate for a night of electronic music. Death Team consists of Mayka and Tilli. The band is heavily influenced by 1990s culture and is often referred to as a mix between Abba and Eminem. First Hate is from Copenhagen and consists of Anton Falck Gansted and Joakim Norgaard. The duo combines lo-fi synthetically programed melodies and drum beats fused with live keyboard recordings. Gansted’s deep reverb drained vocals are at the forefront of the band’s sound.
