Learn how to make music with fruit

    Shenzhen Library is organizing three free workshops May 14 for children aged between 8 and 14 where they can create electronic music with fruits. Attendees must bring their own laptops. The workshops will be in Chinese.

    At the workshops, children will learn Scratch (a programing language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations) and Makey Makey (a tool that allows users to connect everyday objects to computer programs) to create music.

    The three workshops are the same, with space for 15 children each. Applicants should sign up for only one workshop through Shenzhen Library’s WeChat (szlibrary).

    Time: 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 1-3 p.m., 3-5 p.m., May 14

    Venue: Maker Space, 4/F, Shenzhen Library, Futian District (福田区深圳图书馆四楼创客空间)

    Metro: Longhua or Longgang Line, Children’s Palace Station (少年宫站), Exit D(Cao Zhen)
