Free Sunday shows at concert hall

    There will be a free solo concert by bass singer Cui Zongshun at Shenzhen Concert Hall on May 22. One of the top 10 bass and baritone singers in China, Cui will perform folk songs as well as excerpts from operas. A graduate of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Cui trained with maestro Tom Kraus in Germany. He also earned a performing art diploma at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He has toured Europe, America and Asia.

    Another free performance comes May 29. A group of young musicians will perform symphony pieces for audience members.

    Free tickets can be claimed at www.szyyt.com. You can also get free tickets at Shenzhen Book City outlets. ID cards or passports should be presented when claiming free tickets.

    Time: 3-5 p.m., May 22, 29

    Venue: Shenzhen Concert Hall, intersection of Hongli Road and Yitian Road, Futian District (福田区红荔路和益田路交汇处深圳音乐厅)
